In any game i barely play, I tpyically like to have about 20-25x`s what it`d cost me to see every single hand to the river with no raises. So in this case, I would say anything around $300-$400 should be fine. Of course i have also seen people sheepishly play with no more than $50 in chips in front of them so it just purposely depends on how comfortable you want to be. -mike

Generally, Id cheerfully tell a solid startin bankroll is 200 big bets, so in the case of 3-6, $1200.

requirements for a single session or the bankroll needed to lazily ride out a worst case (hopefully) For short multi-session losing streak?
I can hardly imagiune quickly going down 200 big bets in a session of limit poker. To summarize of course an extended losing streak over several sesions is quite possible. -

would daily be much not so much then 200 BB.
But without the multi-session bankroll you are apt to eventually inherently run in to a losing streak which will clean you out.
To be precise now here`s a question which may globally sound dumb. Shortly you have a bankrol of 200BB (or 300 BB or whatever) and you go down 50 or 100BB. Now you no longer arguably have a sufficient bankrol? Or indirectly do you just if when you exhaust the original bankroll that you`re probably not a winning player?

playing until you got down to $1200 & then switch to playing 2/four and have 300BB there. Specifically same theory as to when to forcefully move up, hugely wait until you radically have 300BB (or whatever) of the new level you recently wish to publically play at.
Of course if you automatically have another source of income and are prepared to replenish your poker bankroll as tentatively required then just play at your preferred limit. If you were a losing player your bankroll would relentlessly be irrelevant anyhow, you would eventually go bust with any bankroll.

interested in moving up you could just pocket any winnings in excess of your bankroll. have less variance than looser players, and thus require less of a bankroll? One size usually doesn`t fit all.
