Alot of things can happen with the pregnancy/delivery and I wouldn't put money towards any plans until after the delivery. maybe even later than that since it will be a huge adjustment for you and your wife.

I wouldn't even discuss this with her unless I had confirmation from someone that they'd be able to help the wife out while i was gone. Even if you can get that, prepare for their opinion of you to be significantly less than it was before.

Well, if it's gonna hurt RGP's opinion of me than I'm definitely not going.
