Bubble hand: Am I a moron? (BAHH)

This was the bubble. 16 left. 13 get seats to a $1,000 + $50 MegaSuperSatellite to the ME. One gets a chump prize of $50. I will note that I went out on the same hand as another idiot, but because it was a couple seconds earlier, managed to miss the chump prize, too. Whoops, that scratched the thin disguise of this whine.

Calling and seeing a flop was completely not an option IMO. The chip stacks of the last 10 places were near equal, the difference less than the blinds. Calling and folding the flop would leave me in last place. Pushing and winning would guarantee victory. Pushing and losing and obviously I'm gone.

The table was very tight at this point. The range I put this guy on was AQ+,TT+. He had raised and folded previously. In fact, that was the typical behavior of this table.

So was this fold and go for easier money like stealing blinds time, or push and either win or lose time?

Note that nobody was in any imminent danger of doing anything insanely dumb any time soon. Most of the showdowns had been AQ-AK or big pair v. big pair or blind v. blind. So I wasn't likely to be the recipient of stupid generosity. Nor was anybody else. And one set of blinds and antes would have taken me to last place (although one set of stolen blinds would bring me back up).

Surely the range of hands you have the other guy on includes pocket pairs, so you have to realize that a coinflip is likely here, and you're better than 50% to get your ticket if you fold.

Otherwise, I agree with you that you can't flatcall and fold the flop, which is further argument that folding was your best EV move.

I disagree entirely. Only two options I think are a) call, b) fold. All-in is not an option and is just stupid.
