In Super System 2, there is a supplement to Brunson's chapter on NLHE consisting of seven tables depicting all the possible double belly buster straight draws and putting them into groups (pages 623-627.) Can anyone suggest some kind of memory trick to remember all this stuff. My sense is that there must be better way than memorizing a bunch of tables. Thanks.

Before you invest a bunch of time in this ... what advantage are you expecting to gain by memorizing the tables? If you can read the board okay, you can figure out pretty easy if you have one or not ...

I agree. They happen occasionally, usually on the turn to go with your pair.. ( he just made that up) . But like Ace said, you will see 'em when you see 'em. If you *do * see 'em.

The key is to to treat them like an open ended straight with additional implied oddsdue to the deceptive value of the hand. The deception comes from opponents reduced ability to put you on the straight.
