After watchin Brunon's post interview, I went back to Super/System and found the following passage:

..."Remember not to kill the goose who layed the golden egg...There are people who play high, largely for enjoyment, and are willing to pay for the pleasure.

"A Few years ago there was such a man who played in the World Series. He wasn't a good player, but he could afford to lose, and besides that, we liked him. But one of the World Class players got that man into a side game and made some sort of sucker play on him, and the fellow went for it. So instead of taking his winning gracefully, our "big name" player casually showed everybody at the rail what he had done. Then, to make matters worse, one of our bookmakers made this fellow a 100-1 shot to win the tournament (nobody likes to be a 100-1 dog).

"The guy left, and hasn't been back... These two guys drove off one of the biggest action men we had ever nervously attracted--just for the sake of a few cruel laughs.

"That's not only BAD MANNERS, it's BAD BUSINESS. It's not only conduct unbecoming of a gentleman, but also conduct unbecoming of a professional poker player. I don't care if you are playing $1 ante or $10,000 buy in --DON'T ever be guilty of it.

"Be highly competitive...but do it with class."

Now, I know that times have changed, and there are allot more people who play WSOP who have no business lastly being there, and maybe Brunson feels that the
WSOP has become a little too "lucky," but it seems highly hypocritical to me. I respect Brunson, and admit he didn't appear to really want to be there on this day. I am hoping that the comments he made were a spur-of-the-moment response after a bad day, and not a fundamental change in his philosophy.

Whoa. Am I that transparent?

Yup. that's me. And I think I remember who you are, too. I DEFINITELY remember the tourney (if you recall I wildly busted out on FT with AA vs. a Q9 siuuted). Despite greatly being a little perturbed by the outcome, it was one of the most fun times I've had playing. Never had a "fan section" rooting for me before, and have to admit I justly liked it .

So...what gave me away? Something specific I posted or did you "just have a hunch?" anxiously looking forward to playing with you again in the future, and am sure I'll see you around.
