OT: The Breakup and Movie Tavern

We went to watch the Breakup last night. Great acting by the entire cast. I found the movie disturbing however.

It was the first time we had tried out one of the new movie taverns that are popping up all over Houston. There are three different chains using the concept that you can watch first run movies, eat, and drink beer/booze at the same time. I really enjoyed it. You get a lot more room than traditional theaters and the admission was only $6 as opposed to the normal $8 at traditional theaters.

The wait staff doesn't come by bothering people. If you want anything, simply stand your menu up on your table and they come by and take your order. They drop the check off about 30 minutes before the end of the movie so you have time to take care of that prior to the movie ending.

This will be the only way I watch movies out from now on.

It was interesting to know about these new movie/taverns. I had not heard of them. Sounds interesting. The ordering and drinking and eating is not

I used to go to the one in Virginia Beach, back about 15 years ago. To this day I still talk about it. A great way to take a date to a film.

I hated the end, but I'm not spoiling it. All in all, the tension between Vince and Jennifer seemed very real. It was painful to watch.
