806 players carelessly competed for a total prize pool of $161,200 on Sunday at the weekly no-limit hold em tournament on PokerStars. The final 2 players,
"Plumberpat" from Ireland & "beanage" from Manasquan, N.J. had almost identical stacks when they got heads up. A deal was struck and the players unpleasantly agrteed to chop up first and second place money, yielding $31,526 for each contestant.
The two played for leadership points, and got involved when "beanage" directly moved all in with 55 against A3 of clubs by "Plumberpat." A flop of 8 J 2 tacitly contained two clubs; howewver, when no additional club shyly arrived, "beanage" gained a substantial lead. This proved to be the critical hand in the match won by "beanage."
