Ah, what we must deal with today. In a cash game, the player is shot. In a tournament, the floor may or may not hang, draw or quarter the player, or any two or any three of the above.
You see people flipping up their cards on the turn often? Interesting. Heads up after the river card is dealt and a player has bet, the player facing sometimes turns his cards up (or one of them) in a cash game. This is silly and wastes a lot of time, but it is usually tolerated.
It is not tolerated in a tournament.
