21 places out of the money, i have just a bit less than average stack. Too aggressive? Stupid call preflop for the other guy? Too small raise preflop?

Tough to judge the raise preflop, if 2.5xbb was taking the blinds for most LP raisers, then it's probably fine. Stacks are deep though so you can expect some loose calls, and I might call being 2nd in chips with an 87 too. Ok probably not from the SB, but I'm not that guy.
The flop overjam reeks of weakness, again unless you've shown a propensity for jamming the nuts that way. I'd say any ace calls you there, and of course two pair has a trivially easy call, even though he has to sweat the spade draw.
In case you can't tell, depending on the images of you, your opponent, and the dynamic of the table, you could make the case for playing the flop a few different ways, open jamming being one.

The raise from that position might have been a little aggressive, but it depends on the table and how they were playing aorund the bubble. It might be a hand I raise if the table is playing really tight waiting for the bubble to burst. You say 21 left, how many runners total?
Obviously, the best scenario is you steal the blinds and antes. When you didn't, I think you have to play a semi-weak hand pretty carefully. Like Grouchy said, the push looks really weak, like someone with an underpair, or draw. With the ace out there, I would not have pushed because it looks weak enough that any ace calls, and your opponent could very well have called your preflop with Ax.
I would put out the continuation and see where your opponent is. It keeps him from automatically thinking you're on a draw, and is reaction will give you a lot of information about where you are in the hand. He might fold, call and give you a cheap draw or reraise you all in, in which case you can get away from the hand with enough chips left to still play some.
The way it was played, you raised preflop and have to figure you are going to be called with a better hand. You then pushed before you got any information. I think you had enough chips to play it differently, and if you didn't, your initial raise was a mistake.

Raisin that small against a big stack in his SB was the mistake. You're fine postflop. You can do what you did or bail out of the hand totally. You know which route I would have taken.

Really, with 20BBs (M>10) and the blinds not coming up for a few hands? You would go all-in in CO with Q9s to win less than 10% of your stack, especially with two giant stacks and three players to act behind you?
I don't agree with that. You have enough chips to keep playing and make some moves, and you will have better opportunities.
I'm not sure I would jam from the button or SB with Q9 here.

yes. the key part of that sentence is 'if i were playing this hand.' If i made the decision to play it, I'd go all in to grab the blinds

You have bigger balls than me for sure. I would have raised it 4x the big blind and hope to take the blinds right there.

All right, I can see the3 logic of that. A hand that vulnerable is hard to play after the flop because, unless you flop two pair or better, you don't know where you staqnd.
I guess the key for me is I wouldn't play it to begin with.
I agree all-in is probably a better move than a raise of 4-5x the blind which may leave you pot committed with a flop that helps some, or leaves you shortstacked if you miss.

with 2 big stacks behind, I'd think the chance of one of them raising what looks like a steal bet to be fairly decent, which is why i'd be reluctant to play this hand in the first place.
