He knew Greenstein had him dominated because Barry was playing tight as a drum>>

Greenstein made a very similar move with Queens against Doyle Brunsons Aces. Another thing that came to me is he is the one that went all in, he didn't call an all in. If you watch some other episodes Greenstine would re-raise pre flop if he thought someone was weak. I am sure Sammy took those two things into consideration when he pushed.

Cheers,

Sammy is a gambler and would never lay KK down preflop if he can think of 1 other hand that his opponent might move allin preflop with. A small percentage of players would never do it except with AA and Sammy would probably fold the KK against that type of opponent. But the large majority of players might do it with AK, AQ, any pocket pair 8 or above, etcetra. And the one other suspicious factor was that it was the 'last' hand of the night. Therefore, Sammy just called and hoped his opponent was not on AA.

Sammy's real strength is not in NLH anyway. He is better today than he used to be a few years back, but his real strength is in PLO. He dominates that game at the highest levels in the world. There are many players who are much better NLH players than Sammy, but it is hard to find many who rank above him in PLO.

And yes, Sammy 'will' gamble. He does not need the nuts to go allin at any time. He is just working his stack. Sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses. But when he does have a hand he gets paid off because he is 'loose aggressive'.

I beleive that Sam thought he was beat. If the cameras weren't on, who knows what he would've done. It certainly seemed like he did NOT want to call Greenstein's all-in.

By the way, I think Farha is tremendous player.
